Dear partner
One of the measures of success in business is the ability to respond to change quickly and effectively. Agility in response to the market changes have informed our product design, sales and marketing and will continue to enable us to keep our edge.
One such change that we've been talking about for a long time now is Making Tax Digital - and it's now very nearly upon us. In the UK, 89% of businesses will need to change the way they process tax, and through our software, and our joint expertise, we’re here to help them get ready.
The next major compelling event of course is Brexit which will feature as a key theme in our marketing messaging in H2FY19. A no-deal Brexit is one of the outcomes that the UK government and the European Union (EU) are drawing up plans for, as the date that UK leaves the EU edges ever closer. Find our blog and whitepaper, "Preparing for Brexit" - here to learn more.
We are also preparing product enhancements to prepare for the new rules for VAT returns that will apply to construction services. The Reverse Charges legislation will introduce a VAT reverse charge on the purchase of certain building and construction services requiring the customer to account to HMRC for the VAT in respect of those purchases rather than the supplier (the ‘reverse charge’).
In this month's edition of the partner newsletter you will find more resources to support you in supporting customers as they navigate the changes in their business. Whether that change is brought about by the growing pains of scaling, changes in legislation or the introduction of technological disruption, our software together with your partner expertise will be ready to respond.
As always, we would love to hear more from our partners about market trends that you are seeing, customer demands for product features or innovative ways to win more business. So to that end we have included two surveys in this month's newsletter to gather your input.
Thank you again for your ongoing commitment to Sage and our customers.
