Who should move to Sage 50cloud Pastel?

Everyone who wants to boost productivity in their business, enjoy the freedom of working from anywhere, and gain more control over their business performance should move to Sage 50cloud Pastel. Fortunately, Sage Pastel Xpress Advantage and Sage Pastel Partner Advantage customers get Sage 50cloud Pastel at no additional cost, except the standard annual price increase as they are already on subscription. Sage 50cloud Pastel can be considered the latest version of Sage Pastel Advantage. Customers on all Sage Pastel versions that are not on subscription or any kind of payment plan are encouraged to move to Sage 50cloud to reap the incredible benefits of cloud connected accounting software.


Which products have reached end of life?

Sage Pastel Xpress and Sage Pastel Partner products from version 12 and older have come to End of Life.


What if I don’t want to be on subscription?

Sage 50cloud Pastel is only offered on subscription. Customers who have perpetual licenses and are on-plan, have the option to move to a new version of our desktop software, which does not have all the new cloud features that Sage 50cloud Pastel has.

There are distinct benefits for you to be on subscription rather than purchase it “forever”.

  1. Subscription licenses offer lifetime value through automatic and free upgrades. There is no end of life for a product and patches and hotfixes are always available.
  2. Subscription can be more easily scaled up or down, so the licensing can match your business as its requirements fluctuate.
  3. Subscription is more affordable than an upfront one-off payment; and it comes with minimal risk.
  4. It’s easy to decide about purchasing software – you do not need the many approvals, as it is a limited commitment.
  5. Upgrades and new features are released in real time and rolled into the monthly price, ensuring no compatibility or obsolescence issues.

When thinking about subscription licencing for software, as a business owner, bookkeeper or accountant, IT manager, you should ask:
